Someone next to you
already thinks the same
Not a shop window of people — the contour of one place. A beach, a bar, a yacht club, a campsite: a code on a sticker takes away one thought, «I'm probably the only one».
How it works
The place makes it legitimate.
Not the app
A sticker on the bar counter, at the lift ticket desk, on the campsite board — you scan it and you're in. No form, no email, no password: the code is the invitation.
Every contour is the server of one place. One code opens only that one.
Anonymous.
Or not
Two states, not a ladder of five steps. While you're anonymous you're seen as a mask — «Terracotta 8», not a name; you switch when you decide to.
Your own face is your business. Someone else's isn't.
Not names.
A number you can trust
The count isn't a head count: it has a threshold, a publication step and a random delay. «It was 33, someone walked in, now it's 34» will never be readable in the digits — one leak like that would cost the trust of everyone else.
The dots in the background follow the published number, not people: not one of them belongs to anybody.
Intentions meet.
Not forms
«Looking for a third for durak», «free bag of ice» — a cry lives 25 minutes and fades with its responses. You're visible only to whoever's intention matched: the rest don't know a conversation started.
The cry faded, the conversation stayed. There's no algorithm here: nothing is sorted for you.
One codebase.
The inside fits the place
Modules don't know about each other and switch on separately: a market doesn't need a backgammon table, a yacht club can keep only the business layer.
A detail of its own.
Not a system of its own
Palette, font pair, the order of rows on the hub, the mark of the place — picked from a closed set, not one colour code typed by hand. Tap a palette and a font: the screen next to it is real, not a picture.
Mesh and accent. Glass, text and the green dot are the same for everyone.
Beach, bar, yacht club —
same contour, different character
Places where people already walk past each other every day. A starting point gives you defaults instead of an empty form: everything after that you edit by hand.
It lives on your server.
Not in someone's cloud
The tarball unpacks onto an ordinary VPS in one command. You own your own world: the clan's data never leaves its server.
curl -fsSL https://get.borneo.place/install.sh | sudo bash -s -- --ticket TICKET
HTTPS, migrations and the first 8 hours of work are all inside that same command.
Touch a contour
right now
A live clan that resets every night. Some of the activity there is staged and marked on every screen — in a real clan there's none of that.
Open the demo clanIn this prototype the button leads to the configurator: the live demo contour doesn't exist yet.
Seven answers —
and you have a command for your VPS
<b>A starting point</b> — beach, bar, coworking, or your own from scratch
<b>A conversation and edits</b> — modules, signature, texts, with a live preview
<b>A domain</b> — yours, or a subdomain from the creator
<b>A ticket</b> — one command and the setup status on the same page
A licence for a contour.
Not rent on someone's service
The clan's data never leaves its server
No commission from the storefront or the board
The first 8 hours run with no licence at all
The author hasn't named the numbers yet — they're deliberately absent here.
Thirteen questions.
Not one evasive answer
What people ask before installing. Where there is no answer yet, it says so.
The answers are written from the code: if something does not exist, it says so.
One author.
Not one page about us
Borneo is written by one person. A question, a request for a contour, an idea for a new starting point — write directly.
Prototype: the form sends nothing and writes nowhere.
